Sodwana Bay:
Situated north of Durban, Sodwana has different reefs to visit. The reefs vary in size and are named by their distance from the launch site. All are extremely beautiful with abundant fish life. Some are so large that that you can dive a different area of the same reef on each dive. The visibility on the reefs ranges daily and can be anything up to 40m, with average visibility of 10-15 m. The water temperature in summer (Dec.-Jan.) is about 27 degrees centigrade and in winter (July) it is around 21 degrees. Depending on the distance of the reef a small surcharge is added to the dive cost to cover transport costs.

Mozambique. Ponta do Ouro
The most southernmost town in Mozambique offers an unforgettable diving experience. A transfer from the South African border in 4x4 vehicles brings us to this quaint village. The dazzling white sands and azure blue ocean is a true example of a tropical paradise. A variety of reefs with depths between 12-40m offers all divers an experience of a lifetime. With its sub tropical climate the gentle ocean, with 27degree water and stunning visibility displays it’s bounty to all water enthusiasts. The village boasts an African market where bartering for souvenirs and mementos is an exciting memory. Savour local food and beer at the sidewalk stalls and enjoy the delights of Africa. |

Protea Banks
Situated off the coastal resort of Shelly Beach, Protea Banks is a deep water reef app. 5km offshore. With depths ranging to 35m this is for the advanced diver. After kitting up on the beach a 15min boat ride takes you to the reef. Common sightings include Zambezi, Ragged tooth and Hammerhead sharks. We normally do two dives and this is a full day excursion or as part of your extended itinerary. |
